The reaming of the ring forgings during free forging mainly adopts the reaming of the horse bar. It is the elongation of the ring forging blank along the circumferential direction, which is local loading and overall stress. The metal flows in the tangential and width directions in the deformation zone when the horse bar is reamed. When the horse bar is reamed, the metal in the deformation zone mainly flows along the tangential direction, and the inner and outer diameters are increased. The forgings with reamed holes on the horse bars generally have thin walls, so the resistance to the tangential flow of the metal in the outer deformation zone is far smaller in the width direction. Therefore, the dimensional change of the forging during the reaming of the horse bar is that the wall thickness is reduced, the inner and outer diameters are enlarged, and the width (height) direction is slightly increased.
