Common alloys for extruded aluminum（一）

1. 6000 series aluminum alloy

The 6000 series aluminum alloy is the most commonly used alloy series in extruded aluminum, mainly composed of aluminum, magnesium, and silicon, with good comprehensive properties.

6063：

Features: Excellent extrusion performance, good surface treatment performance, moderate strength.

Application: Building doors and windows, curtain walls, furniture, decorative profiles.

6061：

Features: Strength higher than 6063, good corrosion resistance, and can be strengthened by heat treatment.

Applications: mechanical parts, automotive components, ship structures, bicycle frames.

6005A：

Features: The strength is between 6061 and 6063, and it has good welding performance.

Application: Lightweight components for rail transit and automobiles.

2. 7000 series aluminum alloy

The 7000 series aluminum alloy is mainly composed of zinc as the alloying element, which has extremely high strength, but relatively poor extrusion performance.
