Aluminum alloy forging generally requires surface cleaning after forging. The following treatment is a standard surface cleaning process, which can remove residual lubricant and oxide scale and obtain a smooth surface with natural luster.
(1) Immerse in an aqueous solution containing 4%~8% (mass percentage) NaOH for 0.5~5min at 70 ℃.
(2) Rinse immediately in hot water at 75 ℃ or higher for 0.5~5min.
(3) Immerse in an aqueous solution of 10% (volume percent) nitric acid at 88 ℃ to remove the black precipitate.
(4) Rinse in hot water at 60~70 ℃ for 3~5min.
The cleaning times are related to the forming process of aluminum alloy forged forgings. Some forgings only need to be cleaned before inspection.
